More Bump Listings?

Captain Starwind

Is there a website anywhere that has more of the bump listings like the two threads that are sticked?  I'm specifically looking for bumps used on the action block, but anything really will do.

NumyMufn

If by action block you mean the current Toonami, Beefy has been keeping us up to day over here: http://www.bumpworthy.com/forum/index.php/topic,1591.msg11620.html#msg11620
I linked to the end of the thread, you can work your way back from there. They change it every couple of months.

Captain Starwind

Aha, yes, this is part of what I was looking for.  Thanks so much!

Do you know of any places that list it for the former action block?

As I recall... IF I recall correctly  ... the Saturday bumps just prior to the return of Toonami were just the (seemingly) randomly cycled bumps that were introduced during the first week of November 2010, and prior to that they were playing the exact same bumps they played during the previous week. AAaaannnnnd... prior to that was the cutout era? I think? One day, I WILL make that 'Evolution of the Bumps' timeline  :-D  :-D

Was there something in particular that you were looking for?

Also note that the bumpers for the action shows on weeknights were different than the bumpers for the action block on Saturdays for a while (2003-2004 I think).  This was back before action got banished to only airing on Saturdays.
http://asfdotcom.net/ You will download Adult Swim promos and intros because we told you to.
Why yes, I do miss Futurama.

No, nothing in particular.  Honestly I'm just really, really into the history of the old Adult Swim Action block (to the point that I made a document containing all the schedules and show airings for it), and I was just trying to find out some more information on the bumps that aired during the block.  I was toying with the idea of trying to put something together giving a timeline of the bumps that aired during the various incarnations of the action block.

NumyMufn

Okay, great! I think you came to the right place  :-D I started another thread for bits & pieces to add to a timeline. If we can properly divide each set of packaging I think we can list a set of bumps for each era.

I suppose I should add, if you're really determined you can dig up listings done by MrHang at the ASMB from 2004 to early 2008. Unfortunately the search engine over there is seriously challenged, particularly for the posts from 2004 to mid 2005 due to "broken" threads.

This seems to be something I'd be interested in.  I think I'll check these out tomorrow, when I'm not so damn tired.  The search engine thing may be a problem, but I think I can get around that.

NumyMufn

Yeah, you can use Google with the site specific thing. It's not a neat dedicated thread like we have here though, they're scattered across three threads. Two broken ones and one massive one, I think it was almost 10,000 posts.
You caught me at a bad time -

I'm awake.

Captain Starwind

Oh, well damn then.  I guess that was before ASMB started imposing the 5000 post limit for threads.  This might end up being a weekend job for me, it'll probably take me a good few hours or so to go through just that one thread, let alone three of them.

Sorry I'm posting in a thread that hasn't been posted in over a year but here are some old Saturday AcTN bump listings.  I'm doing this as the original ASMB has been taken down so the listings from there are gone.  Most of this is from either old recordings I found online (Internet Archive), old listings on the ASMB, or by memory.  These are from 2005 to 2008.  I stopped caring about the anime once they took it off weekdays. It's hard to watch anime once a week and be able to keep up.

I WILL NOT post Saturdays after May when they started using the Cutout bumps, the earliest listings on this site (before my posted listings) are from 2008.  I'm just putting ones that were not Sundays before 2008.  I never really paid attention or cared for Text bumps, Programming Schedule bumps, etc. , only the picture ones, especially the AcTN bumps.  If anyone has old recordings from 2005-2007 recordings with bumps, feel free to upload the listings if you have the chance.

No problem, I used to be able to find alot of them on the older adult swim boards site which has been replaced earlier this year.  I also have a good memory as to what i seen on adult swim as a kid.

I do remember 1 listing they had on the old asmb that had the listings to the bleach marathon on new years eve 2006 which just used regular saturday bumps.  They aired the intro bump of Eureka 7 before one bleach episode, then during another one they had the Samurai Cgamploo 2nd, 3rd , and 4th bump while the 1st bump was replaced by that bump with the 2 polar bears and a boat.  That Goodness Flowed in from all directions bump also came on constantly.  that list i can no longer find.  That would give me an idea as to what they used regularly back then as i never would fully get to watch as i would go to sleep early.

Most people dont have much recordings on the internet from 2005-2007 which sucks.  Most people have from 2004 and older such as when anime used custom black and white text bumps or those toonami style bumps with the robot voice which was before my [as] years of 2005-present.  What I wish to find is listings of when they used the earliest 15 second AcTN bumps like the bear in the forest, orange fun start soon now, come along friend, bull film reel, etc.  Those only aired a few months.

Oh trust me I know what you mean here.  2005 to 2007 was one of the best times of Action on Adult Swim.  I've been hunting around online for recording from this era, especially because I'm trying to find original Adult Swim recordings of Fullmetal Alchemist.  The fact that I can't find any of them is honestly really interesting, since I would have expected there to be a lot of recordings from this era online.
