Hi everyone, I'm blueshogun.  Some of you might recognize my nick from other areas in the scene, and for those who haven't, I won't waste my time bragging, lol.

Anyway, I wish I had noticed this site had a forum beforehand, otherwise I would have joined some time ago.  Below is my very first custom [AS] bump.  I'm still a bit new at this, but I think this one turned out okay.  Hope you all like it.

Hi, welcome to the forums! Great to have someone posting new custom bumps! Love the picture you used, and the beat is wonderful, fits in perfectly! Bumps don't usually feature the full song, but it's a very relaxing piece Feel free to post more!

Regarding embedded videos, we usually just post the YouTube link, since it's easier (especially if you want to open it in a new window or something). That's not saying the forum isn't necessarily capable of it, but we're just used to doing it that way

Please feel free to browse around the forums, have fun! We have some threads regarding favorite [as] bumps and stuff like that if you wish to post about that . Regarding your comment, that's quite the undertaking working with such a complex console, congratulations on all the progress made! Well, that's about it from me, welcome to the BW boards!

Finally got around to making my next bump!  Not sure if this one is any good or not, but it's the image that I got within my twisted mind at that particular moment, so I put it together using the music that triggered it and what little skills I have using GIMP, and vioala.

Next bump!

Finally got around to making this next one.  Hopefully it will have more of a 2004-05ish feel to it because IMO, a good bump usually consists of more than just a random pretty image with appealing music.  They have to go together somehow and on top of that, have a memorable effect on the viewer.

Having said that, I need to get into animation and learn how to do some basic image animations and stuff!

Man, great job by the both of you! Loved both bumps. I miss those schedule bumps they used to air, those were usually great . And ACTN, the font commonly used by [as] is Helvetica Neue Bold (or Condensed Bold or so). I don't know if that's the same one used in the Tokyo bumps but it might be a lead.

Although I do not think that Helvitica or any of its spin-offs were used in the bumpers. When viewing this bump http://www.bumpworthy.com/bumps/1818, you can see that the # 4 has a gap in it. None of the Helvetica fonts, nor its spin-offs have any 4's with the gap in it. Any other suggestions? Thanks again.
Edit: You might have to fullscreen the video to see the 4.. its not in HD, not hard to imagine. Lol!

What he meant was Helvetica Neue Condensed Bold is the known font in the black & white text bumps, and that might be a lead to find the Tokyo bumps. The only connection I could see would be to look for another font that is standard on a Mac, which is one reason they gave for using the Helvetica. I would love to link to the source for that info... but I'm not sure if it was ever on an aired bump (there's one full of other reasons) or if it was posted at the ASMB.
