Those are some really good bumps you guys. I'm working on a few myself but I don't have anything to show at the moment.

Thanks for the welcoming. I uploaded a few bumps on my YouTube page. Before there's any confusion, yes I am ManicRaider on YouTube. I have to warn you that my bumps may be a bit rough since I don't have any proper editing stuff on my computer at the moment.

Retro Lab - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNr2_oaIeJs

Global Warming - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8OaRPByqcc

Skyline - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ULLi75Qn8I

Global Warming (Full Version) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2R0EHOaO-Y

The full version isn't in "Bump form" it's just the picture with the full song.

mongo

You have some nice ideas! Really liked the Global Warming one, and the song/picture combination in Retro Lab. Keep workin' at it, you're doin' alright  :-D

Sorry if this is off topic but [as] should use some fan made bumps once in awhile. It'll please the fans and give them something new to show for free. Also most of the ones I see here are just as good as the ones on TV.

mongo

That'd be great. I think the reason they don't do it is because of copyrights, since they can't assure that we hold copyright over the images/music we use in them, and they'd have to track us down and make us sign release forms to forfeit compensation and stuff. Red tape, basically .

That gives me an idea. I'm willing to bet that even my sucky state has some cool areas to check out. All I need now is a good quality yet cheap camera.

Problem with that isn't the pictures, but the music. Even if you took the pictures yourself and made the music yourself they still need something official to go by.
It's one of the reasons the viewer bump music submission even came to fruition. It allowed them access to public made music that didn't require licensing fees in order to use them.

Perhaps if they combined Viewer music project with the Welcome Page thing they did before though... =/

Both projects went down at least in part due to copyright issues. There was plenty of legal mumbo jumbo to sign for the VMP but I remember at least one song getting on the air that had used a sample without permission. The other thing is they need someone willing to go through all that crap :P When Kurt left they lost that person.

Ahh... Seems I don't know the inner workings of Williams Street as well as I ought to.

... If only the ASMB weren't so dark and scary to me. =/

Actually what I meant is it gives me an idea to go out and take pictures of some interesting stuff I find. I'm not saying I want to be a professional photographer or anything but it sounds a heck of a lot better than what I do now, which is nothing.

mongo

 I've been doing that myself. It sure is an interesting hobby!
