Do you know where the pool bumpers were recorded from?
I can tell you! :D
I just found this out, out of pure boredom.

The first photo is of "2001 Pool #01" at around 3 seconds in. You can see the distinguished red line in the background of the shot.

The second photo is a photo of the same pool facing what seems to be the same wall in the first shot.

In conclusion, the pool that the pool bumpers were recorded in were none other than Martin Luther King Jr. Natatorium.
Sadly though, the pool is permanently closed but I just wanted to share a really neat find!

EDIT: I would like to say that not all the pool bumpers were made in the Natatorium. Some of them were located outside, possibly a second pool at the MLK Jr. Natatorium?

EDIT 2: 3 seconds in, not 9 seconds. Lol.. 9 seconds is the total time of the video, 3 seconds is approx. where it was stopped.

Neat! Looks like the closing was relatively recent. So... how bored were you? :D

Since we're on Pool bump tidbits, I recently tracked down the voice of the lifeguard, a Mr. Matt Peccini, who is also the writer, producer & director of these little gems: http://vimeo.com/5683832
You caught me at a bad time -
