Nice! I vastly prefer your work to AS's current batch--though admittedly, their Sunday night batch is quite good.

-----------------------------------------------------------

I've stopped by to drop off my latest remaster, and first post of the year. This is a remaster of "Saturday Lineup - Promo 2004." You know--the one where Knives from Trigun snaps. This was perhaps one of the most difficult bumps I've ever had to work on because the cuts were so precise and particularly timed that it took a while to figure out. I  was hoping to have finished this by New Year's Day, but I didn't want to mess this one up because it's one of my favorite promos. I obsessed over the timing and took an embarrassingly large number of attempts at this just to get it to a point where I felt confident that it was accurate. Even though it's listed as a "v2" it's more like a "v11 or v12." I had to upscale a couple of DVD sources for this one because as far as I know, Trigun and Witch Hunter Robin do not have Blu-Ray sources. And as much as I'm not particularly fond of upscaling DVD sources, this is somewhat mitigated by the fact that many of the Blu-Ray sources for the clips used in this promo are in fact upscales themselves. I upscaled every single clip using an AI program, and my intention at the very least was to provide a "cleaner" look to a beloved promo. I hope you guys like it, and as always, all feedback is welcome:

Don't know why I'm posting this here but hope everyone's doing well in their own lives. Man Adult Swim will never head back to it's old ways that I miss but I'm glad that so much of old AS has been archived online.
Guess I'm just a bit in my feels today lol.

Tell me what y'all think!

I like it a lot! I agree with the VHS effect and some other playfulness there is a lot of room for some awesome bumps :D

Also, nice edit Athias! Small but it does flow closer to the original one now.

Combining the VHS look with HD quality? I dig it man! There are definitely some bumps you can create that will lend well to this effect.

Oh yeah not only that but I also made a SCREEN SAVER, so if you want to set it as your own you can. Here it is: https://youtu.be/sysiIVGImPs

Quote from: Athias on December 17, 2023, 12:25:57 AMI stopped by tonight to drop off a bump. I didn't see a remaster for this anywhere online (not that it would have mattered if there were) so I decided to remaster s-CRY-ed's first promo. I almost didn't upload this because Google is getting more invasive with their "security" policies. But I suppose it's water under the bridge now. I used the region two BluRay as a source, and used an AI program to upscale the clips to 2160p. This was a bit more difficult than I thought it was going to be, namely because there were custom and random changes to the speed of a number of the clips, so it took some time to figure out. But again, water under the bridge. I think it came out pretty well, but as always, all feedback is welcome. Also, if anyone knows the name of the song, please do me the courtesy, as I couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks in advance:

s-CRY-ed (First Promo) {Remastered} [2160p] v2

Great job on this! I enjoyed it a lot, great memorable promo and the remaster was super faithful. These are super cool to see, always very fun to get new versions of a well loved classic. I haven't seen the R2 Blu Ray release, but the Discotek media release for S-Cry-Ed was very good for me!

I sadly don't have any info on the song, it sounds a lot like ExtremeMusic but Numy's the library expert

Thanks mongo! I made a slight edit to the beginning's timing, the idea for which funnily enough came to me as soon as I woke up. (This one should be more accurate.) And as for the song, thanks for the mention--if I have time later on, I will comb through their repertoire to see if I can identify the song--that is, if Numy doesn't save me from the trouble first. Thanks for watching!
