This question popped in my mind like a minute ago from now. I was wondering. Does anybody know if Adult Swim was airing Anime on Saturdays nights/Sunday mornings back when Toonami still aired on Friday Evenings? I don't exactly remember if they did or not. Thanks.
Adult Swim started anime Saturdays back in 2002, and I know for sure Toonami on Monday-Friday was still a thing past 2002.
Yu Yu Hakusho switched from Adult Swim to Toonami during this period.
I'm fairly certain both blocks were running in the same period.
Toonami was airing on Saturdays in 2008, not Fridays. This is the way the Toonami schedules were:
1997-2004: Mondays-Fridays (Saturday blocks would come and go)
2004-2008: Saturdays only
And Adult Swim has been airing anime since the beginning. The very first schedules from back in 2001 had an hour of Cowboy Bebop every week. They never stopped airing anime.
Gotcha Stalin-Chan and Daikun, thanks for correcting me on that. I find it interesting how the latter half of Toonami's first life, we had Toonami and Adult Swim's anime on the same day. Since Steward Snyder (the killer of Toonami) had resigned earlier last month, I am hoping for them to reconsider what they had in the first place.
