Title: Psyche Origami bump music

The download link to http://www.arcthefinger.com/ does not seem to be correct.  That page doesn't mention the group.

That's correct, they went out of business some time ago - apparently we haven't managed to update all the links.  sorry about that, we are in the process of updating the links to all the commercially available tracks at the moment. It's been slow going  :| but there's a lot of updating to be done.

Yeah, site's down  :-(. I'm still mad I didn't order on time  I've been trying to get my hands on the Collective Efforts - Trail Mix CD forever.

I have every piece of Vinyl and CD ever released by Psyche Origami, including all of the instrumentals.  I was very surprised when ATF went under.  I thought that they were strong.  Why does someone like Stones Throw Keep the doors open but not Arc The Finger?  Why is the most talented Hip-Hop group that's ever existed (Psyche Origami) not immediately picked up by someone like Stones Throw, the day that ATF closed its doors?  The two most influential, mind bending, truly exciting artists to ever get bumped, in my opinion, are Madlib and Psyche Origami.  Their bumps are the best that I've seen and heard up to now, besides J Dilla.  What happened on A.S. between 2003 and 2006, I believe, with their music, has become the golden age and the true "A.S. sound" for me.  I hope that Psyche O. will resurface, where they deserve to be, one day soon.

Mongo, was the Trail Mix album by Collective Efforts ever released on Vinyl with Instrumentals?  Mainly, were there any Instrumental releases on something like singles off that album?

Oh, I love Psyche Origami as well! I'm CD hunting for their albums too... You're right, they're a really great group, both their lyrics and beats are amazing, and they definitely deserve a lot more respect than they're getting. Oh, and as far as I know, Trail Mix wasn't released on vinyl with instrumentals, even though any info on the disc has been pretty hard to find whatsoever. There's not a copy in any of the sites I've checked (CD Universe, Amazon, eBay, etc...).

I couldn't agree more.  Even the artistic work on their bumps was pure gold during that time.  They are what inspired me to create this site.

Definitely. The coolest bumps are from that time period.

Oh and Ryan, I just found out there were instrumentals released for Growth Part 2 and Another Soulful Song on the Another Soulful Song vinyl single. It was a limited edition single released in 2005. Copies are rare, from what I've found. This version, however, is from the 2005 release "Collective Efforts" released on Universal Records. I don't know what the difference is, though, and the track Growth Part 2 is not featured on the album.

I really like the music, but don't know much about the group.  Were the instrumentals ever released on CD?  I've been looking for those tracks everywhere.

I'm pretty sure any instrumental releases were only on vinyl  :|

As far as I've been able to find, no instrumentals on CD.  :-(
