this is the second time now i've heard this song on a bump and i have to know who it is. its the bump that was the new friday night line up and now its on the bump for the video games bump. WHO IS THE ARTIST PLEASE
Chances are, we don't know ourselves. There's been a few songs that have been used before, some even multiple times, that we've haven't been able to identify (the "Disaster Week" thread on this section is an example of this). Most likely these are from production music libraries, which means we have to search through the library to identify it. If we know, we'll update soon. If not, be patient... I've still got like 4 beats that I'm really looking for out there, and so does the rest of the staff, so we understand your frustration. When we find the info, it'll be up.

Okay, using the bump names you provided, I think found the ones you meant. I for one don't know anything about it. I'm gonna post up the links, just in case anyone in here knows anything.

A couple of years back while Kurt was still in charge of bump music they used a number of tracks from the Merck label - If I recall correctly they pressed exactly 100 albums and moved on to other projects. I still have some 7" vinyl from them that I haven't heard :| Anyway, the artists I remember most were Machine Drum, Ilkae and Deceptikon but there were others... Daedelus has resurfaced on a new label (I think I ran across them at the Ghostly site :? )
My first thought was that this was a Prefuse73 track but when that didn't pan out we went to the way-back machine. :roll:

I had to register to post this because I had forgotten all about this song a long time ago, but it was on a bump tonight for high scores and I remember how much it kicks ass.
I remember coming here to see if it was ID'd back then and it wasn't, so I come back today hoping someone has found it, but it's still unknown!
We all have to get together and storm into the building Adult Swim is located and demand to speak to the ones in charge of the bumps and tell us the name of this song. I'm in Central Florida so Atlanta's not too far away!

y'know, I was going through marking stuff as 'answered' and I left this one alone :lol: If you click on the bump links the info is there... the bad news is we aren't sure if you can actually get your hands on it - it's by Flying Lotus, submitted to Williams Street as "Friday Night Funk" on a CD labeled 'Flying Lotus Returns' but it sounds like it's a left-over from the old Viewer Music project and hasn't turned up commercially just yet. I haven't had much time for detective work beyond that, but you never know what's floating around the internet :roll:

As far as I could see, not many people even know of the album's existence :|.
Which is why I think it's from the VMP... plus they used it on one of Q's bumps regarding the VMP.
You may have run across something called "Raw Cartoons" by Flying Lotus. As far as I can tell it's the content of the original disc sent to WS for the VMP. It makes sense that a second disc could be called "Flying Lotus Returns" - but, like I said, I haven't had much time to investigate. :|
