Why is it that some bumps with their artist listed as Unknown show up when I click on Unknown in the "by artist" section, but others don't?
I wish I knew :| it would be helpful if they all showed up. After some date it stopped adding new 'unknowns', the reason there are a couple more recent ones that show up is because one of us actively typed 'unknown' in the field. Most of the time they are left blank and are automatically filled in with 'unknown', those are the ones that don't come up anymore.

I've never actually used that system, but a theory; maybe it's because we type in "Unknown - Genre" in a few bumps with unknown tunes, and some bumps don't have that? I don't know, really. :?
The default 'unknown' used to register, but at some point it stopped. It's true that Ryan's tried to keep up with the genre tagging but some stuff slipped through the cracks. I just tested the theory earlier that if I type 'unknown' it registers. I've been on a run through all the bumps and I started typing it in at some point but I'm not sure how consistent I've beenl (I'm only about 1000 bumps in right now)
Oh, it must be some code stuff. Hey, some stuff slips through the cracks cause there's a hell of a lot of it :lol: I'll try to remember typing "Unknown" but I usually don't do it since there are a few regular songs whose titles I just can't get to remember.
Like I said, Ryan's usually on top of it. But we all let things get away at some point :roll: AND to be fair, I didn't ask him to start doing that until July of 2008.
The other thing that weirds me out is the blank space at the very top of the artist list... it just occurred to me that it might be on a bump that's been switched off.
The Unknown field is fixed now for existing bumps on the site. There should be a lot more bumps in the Unknown section. Also fixed the strange empty spot at the top of the 'by artist' list :p
