Me neither, I have no memory of it being on AS or CN... I've also been shopping :-D those DVD ads must be working.
Saw so many of these shows when I was 9, If I remember correctly they didnt show the full episodes of blue sub 6 they showed little episodes of it daily on toonami. And I think toonami is now going to be the new saturday nights on adult swim :-D

They showed the full episodes. When this show first aired on Toonami back in 2000, they cut out whatever show was airing at 6:30 just so they could air the remainder of each episode.
In later showings, they aired all 4 episodes as one big movie.
well that kind of explains it... that was never a good time for me to be watching. still surprised I don't remember even an ad for it or anything

Actually I totally missed the intro cause I didn't even realize it was THAT day! I was downstairs with my family watching the Sharks kick Dallas's ass and had to go upstairs to get something...I just happened upon a Tom bump and I FREAKED out!!! :D But I do watch the east coast feed to get the high def cause the west coast feed is still standard :( So I'm right there with ya!
Yeah I remember BS6 being on for a very brief stint there :) I'm going over the bumps now and I'm still super excited!!

Oh dude, how I wish I could do that :lol: Thankfully I didn't have to work today, I watched the whole block! If I'd had the ball game today I would've been so damn screwed :lol: Wound up waking at 1:00pm :lol:. I also hadn't realized it was April 1st! In fact, I was thinking of going to sleep at normal time, until a buddy of mine called at 11:55. I picked it up since it was weird to get called at that hour, but he was just calling to remind me of the stunt :-P sure glad he did (although I would've punched him if it was The Room again :-P)! About the intro; I hope one of us might have it in HD, but it might not be too hard to find seeing how much it popped up on YouTube. If no one here has it I could try asking a few of the YT guys.

Three weeks into the future on an AS schedule is not reliable in any way shape or form. They get changed all the time.
Somewhere around here is a bump about how they changed the schedule 23 times one year. :roll:
As far as it suggesting anything Toonami related, I feel like that would be really quick :| but then I don't know much about running a programming block. I also don't know how much they've already invested into the possibility hoping the stunt would go well.

Okay, since you posted this I've been waiting for the 'backdoor' schedule (http://schedule.adultswim.com/servlet/ScheduleServlet?action=AS&theDate=5/26/12&timeZone=EST) to catch up (it only projects two weeks out) and I have to agree that
something is up. Coupled with seeing something posted in a private room saying to keep your eyes peeled... :?

Yup... two weeks later and there's been a change, Venture Bros. is now airing Sundays. I expect a new one will be posted in the next day or so. Not saying it will solve the mystery though :?

I'll be watching, like most of us of course.
What I am most curious to see is what promotion Cartoon Network does with this resurrected concept. I've said before what CN used to do well was promote its own shows with great promos and commercials. I haven't seen that lately, and I think success really hinges to some degree on that.

It's confirmed: Toonami is going to have a different Parental Advisory card than the standard "white text over black" card we're familiar with.

Pretty cool to me so far... Though it just kind of reminds me more of old [as] than Toonami. Hopefully should this all go well they can replace the 30 minutes of white noise on at 2:00 with something that would be more faithful to original Toonami programming.

That advisory card looks pretty beautiful! Me, personally, GITS is my favorite anime, but they've rerun it quite a bit... while I absolutely adore the show, it'd be cool to see some hidden old gem like Blue Sub 6.
