daventurebro, that bump = 0wnage, thnx a lot!. Leukoplast, for me Cubase SX works nicely since it allows you to import the video and audio tracks separately, edit down the audio track to match the video's time and then mix the video with the new audio stream. It's really nice!
Hmm, well I have a korg triton le, so I dont need any more music making software, but I did order a USB recording device and it comes with cubase LE..you think LE would have that as well?

Yeah, I think LE should work fine, never used it though. And daventurebro is right, this thread is for user submissions from bumps that have been shown on [adult swim], I'll make another thread for making your own bumps. Kikigi, this board is for suggestions to the bumpworthy site, which is not related to [adult swim]. Threads for that are present on the [adult swim] boards over at www.adultswim.com and I've heard are checked sometimes. Hope that clears everything up (and by the way, rad avatar) :D.

Success! I found my He-Man Toonami Marathon recordings from Nov. 2002. Two of the tapes are commercial free but the first one is 2hr 30mins with commercials.
How will this help you ask? Well, I think it might have some AS stuff on it. I'll check them thoroughly once I get to my mom's house tommorow and have access to my ode VCR.

As I expected, I taped all 3 commercial free so nothing really important but, I managed to find a Toonami recording thats from 2002-2003. I have some really interesting stuff on it like the hamtaro ending song, 2 episodes of Dragonball, a PPF episode, the 2002 Best Buy Escaflowne commercial, the '02 Snickers Cruncher commercial, Batman Beyond promo, the G Gundam regular promo, the YYH Toonami promo, DBZ final eps promo, 2 local ads from my area, 3 YYH eps rated PG, Y-7 and Y-7 accordingly.
It also brings back memories of what I used to waste my time on the internet doing a few years ago (Play, Watch, Orbit, Shop commercial) Anyone not familiar with this, they started it in 2002 on CartoonNetwork.com, I don't think they have it anymore but bascially what you did was collect CN chars, shows, memorabilia (all fake) and you could trade them too and auction on them. (I think they were called E-cards or something). No Adult Swim Action characters were on it though but the old DBZ characters cost a lot to bid on, I mean like 1,000,000 points! That was so fun, I must have wasted a year collecting them for nothing. (most of the cards I wanted were Hamtaro characters) even if they did have it now, I wouldn't remember my alias there but it was good times.
So basically, it's useless junk and I'm sorry that I wasted my time and it's not going to be a contribution to you guys but I would like to upload the horribly taped recording anyway. Is it possible to transfer VHS to DVD and then upload it on some site like Putfile?
You wouldn't have the "Ask Cartoon Network" or the "Legion of Doom" shorts would you?

To go from VHS to DVD you will need a DVD burner. Either a set-top stand alone burner or a drive for your computer.
If you have a computer DVD burner, make sure you have lots of hard drive space to save the video to. You will need a capture device like a PCI card, an ATI All-In-Wonder, or an external box to connect your VCR to.

:P No, not really, you just need DVD ripping software, I personally use ImTOO DVD Ripper.

If it's already on DVD, all you need is a DVD-ROM drive for your computer. Ripping software like DVD Decrypter or Vstrip, and encoding software like XviD, DivX, or VirtualDubMod.
Don't be sad about your computer. I'm still using a 1.1GHz Pentium III, and playing H.264 video on it does not work very well.

Normally it's only seen on analog feeds. Cable and little dish shouldn't be affected. Unless the cable provider's dish is out of alignment.
Although Puerto Rico is on the fringe or outside of most U.S. serving satellite's footprints. If your source is cable, it shouldn't matter.

And is it really expensive? I hope with my summer job I can buy whatever it is and from there all I need is the DVD Decrypter and an encrypting thing which are both downloadable right?
Mongo & Beefy are probably the best ones to ask... I have a dual deck VHS to DVD recorder but then I still have to convert it to DivX to upload. :(
Yay Crab!!!!! Sup bro, hope everything's fine.
Zeni, to transfer something from VHS to DVD you could a) get the deck or b) get a capture card (which would record directly to the PC, the DVD would be done after capturing). Once you have the card, you plug the audio and video ins into the card and record it to your computer with software that is normally supplied by the card, or just any capture software. It's not really expensive, say from $100 and upwards. With that route, you'll have it encoded on your computer and then can burn it into a DVD, for which software is available. In case you have a deck, once you pass the VHS to DVD you'll need to rip it to the PC, in which case you would use something like ImTOO DVD Ripper or whatever ripping software you prefer. Once ripped, you can edit it and transcode it to whatever format you want (or keep it like it is if it's ripped to the format of your liking). It's not too hard nor expensive. Check on websites like www.tigerdirect.com (Video Capture section) to find bargains, and if you need any help you are welcome to ask here :) .

You basically have two routes to pick from if you want DVD and uploading ability:
1) VHS -> DVD (stand-alone DVD burner) -> Computer (ripped using DVD Decryptor) -> Upload in DivX or other format
OR
2) VHS -> Computer (captured using an internal or external capture device) -> DVD (using computer DVD burner) and upload in DivX or other format
I never worked with a stand-alone DVD burner, but I like the computer DVD burner route because it's more flexible with the authoring options. And for uploading videos, once it's captured to the computer you can put it in whatever format you want.

It's possible. Just make sure your camera can record video at a high enough frame rate, or else you might see the scan lines from the TV in your recorded video.

Whether you already know this or not, I'mma spit this out anyway. The sunday bumps air all week, apparently regardless of events that take place. So the comic-con bumps were on all through last week. Just remember that so whenever you miss a bump, you can grab it later.
The quality is amazing though. Too bad you couldn't get the "Favorite Lines" (I think is what they called it.) Bump, though. :P

I knew I could count on you! (It's nice to be back, thanks!) I was busy snagging some Christmas bumps from 2004 (crappy cable signal of course, but I found them) The actual encoding went pretty smoothly this time - after my computer ended a 14 hour backup session, which I tried to cancel, HAH!

Now a technical question... I've noticed some other bumps where the action is out of sync with the sound, too. With this one the visual stops just after they cross off Squidbillies but the audio finishes with the "Mandeer" scheduling music. Is it just my buggy system or is it a common thing with AVI files?
:lol: that'd be fun. Regarding the question... I think it's an encoding thing. It happened to me once with a Tom Goes to the Mayor bump after editing it. My system's not state of the art or anything :-P but I'm thinking it's an encoding thing, like how it is impossible to split a card from a commercial that contains mostly black on screen (like that annoying as hell StopSign thing, which ends in balck with green letters) or a card from a fade in/out from a show when the color used to fade is black. Not entirely sure though, but I'm thinking it's kinda like that.

It's called "Take Another" by Oh No from the album 'The Disrupt, Instrumentals'. As far as I know the instrumental version is still only available from iTunes or on vinyl. :mrgreen:

I think there might be something screwy with the audio on Have Some Spring, if that's the case I'll let you know about a fixed version. I think I capped that one twice because of that. Unsure though. Good luck!
